Kahu Fred Sterling is a master medium, a minister and a messenger—a shaman of Native American ancestry who walks between the third dimensional world of human and the boundless realms of spirit. For more than 20 years, he has been the medium for the loving light and wisdom of Kirael, a master spirit guide. As founder and senior minister of the Honolulu Church of Light, a non-traditional spiritualist church, he shines his own love and light upon both a local congregation and a blossoming international community of lightworkers that reaches around the world via the Internet.
Kahu Sterling has authored several books with Master Kirael, including Kirael: The Great Shift, Kirael: The Genesis Matrix, Guide to the Unseen Self, Kirael: Lemurian Legacy for the Great Shift, and The Ten Principles of Consciously Creating, and shares his wisdom and Kirael’s message through his radio Internet program and television program. His weekly, live Internet radio broadcast, "The Great Shift with Fred Sterling," brings many of the top spiritualists and healers from around the world to awaken us to the Great Shift in Consciousness.
As a child, Kahu Sterling endured an upbringing of incredible hardship, including life in an orphanage and a succession of six stepfathers. He survived the most abject poverty imaginable to achieve the life of a successful, affluent businessman only to give that all up to follow his spiritual calling.
At the Honolulu Church of Light, he has emerged as a pioneering healer and a trance medium of growing distinction. His relationship with the wise and loving Kirael has touched the lives of untold thousands across the globe through books, recordings, and public and private sessions. With the guidance of Master Kirael, he has introduced Signature Cell Healing™ into the world and created a unique form of long-distance healing that taps into the power of a global listening audience.
Kahu1 Fred Sterling has embraced the adventure of life more passionately than most, and what validates his work as minister and healer is precisely this life experience. It has allowed him to cultivate a sense of honesty and authenticity—what you see is what you get—and his style on the air or on the street is fully engaged and extemporaneous. All of his Sunday service messages at the Honolulu Church of Light are drawn from personal experience. He shares lessons from his own journey, teaching rather than preaching. "I’m a man who needs explanations," he says. "I think that’s what makes me a better minister. I have to see everything myself. I can’t speak to an audience about something that doesn’t make sense in my own life."
Throughout it all, he downplays his role as "leader" or "healer" and instead, relishes his role as "messenger," stressing that the message is more important than the messenger. While his eyes occasionally flash with the focus and brilliance of the businessman he once was, his demeanor is one of kindness and humility, with a genuine love for people of all spiritual paths.
"My whole journey in life at this point," he says, "is to let people see that options are available and to remind them not to get caught up in fear or fall prey to the ‘doom and gloom.’ I want people to find the beauty and the light within and use it, to heal."
